The Bullshit Booster helps you twist reality until it makes more sense to believe than to doubt. Regardless of how outrageous your claims may seem at the start, just turn the knobs and it will all sound reasonable soon enough.
This pedal is part of our newly developed Populist’s Pedalboard and helps to make the world a terrible place—use it to the full and without hesitation!
This pedal was inspired by an article I read on the CNN website, written by Daniel Dale, who spent years of his life fact-checking Donald Trump. I thought I had heard enough about the way the American president keeps telling lies—seemingly believing them himself, forgetting he ever told them, stating the opposite, making people believe him, or just making them admire his ability to pull them off…
And yet there was something new to learn, namely that he has to exaggerate any number he offers: even if the facts cast a good light on him, he has to take it one step further. Moreover, he is always gullible when it comes to other people’s lies, even admiring them for their deception.
It’s a brilliant piece but—as is most news about the subject—it’s rather depressing. You can find it here:
